Party On Your Dock this Summer!

Summer is here and spending time at the Lake is in full swing! If you're ready for some summer fun, why not plan a party on your dock! Check out a few tips for throwing a summer dock party with your family and friends from our dock company at the Lake of the Ozarks!


Get an Official Head Count 

First, you'll need to send out your invites and get an official headcount for who will be coming. The day before your party, be sure to check in with your RSVP's to ensure they are still coming. Someone may have mentioned they were planning on coming a few weeks prior but have since changed their plans. Having an official headcount will help you know how much seating you need and much food to prepare. If you are asking people to bring a side dish, make sure that both of you know what they are bringing.

Make a List of Everything You Need 

The day before your party, sit down and make a list of everything you need for your party, even if you have already gone shopping. You will have a lot to do the day of the party and avoid a last-minute trip to the grocery store just hours before your guests will arrive will save you time and stress.

Preparing Your Boat Dock 

Whether you have an outdoor kitchen on your Lake of the Ozarks dock or you are just planning on boating or swimming off the dock, it is important to get your dock ready! Consider having a cooler of drinks ready at the dock. No lake party is complete without a few great floaties, so be sure to stock up and have them blown up before your guest arrives.

Prepare the Day Before

You should do as much as you can the day before to make the day of preparations as easy as possible. Things you can prepare the day before include, getting drinks ready, setting the table, and food preparations.

One of the most important things you can do before you dock party is to ensure that your dock is in great shape!
